ASTM A312 Tp316 Material Properties are mechanically superior than the 304 piping products. The addition of molybdenum in the composition makes the material stronger and more corrosion resistant. Type 316/ 316L stainless steel pipe are intended for use in applications that require high strength, toughness and workability, as well as enhanced corrosion resistance. Compare to 304 stainless steel, the alloy contains a higher percentage of molybdenum and nickel, which improves corrosion resistance.

| Polishing | Victor Steel can polish nearly any stainless steel pipe item to a #4 polish, #6 Polish, #7 polish or a #8 mirror finish. Stainless steel polished pipes can also be cut to size. |
| Beveling | Victor Steel can bevel stainless steel pipe to prepare for welding or other processes. |
| Honing/Turning | Victor Steel can hone pipe and tube, using a precision abrasion process in order to obtain a desired finish or close dimensional tolerance. |
| Heatreating & Annealing | Some grades of stainless steel pipe and tube can be heatreated to change the mechanical properties. Precipitation Hardening Stainless Steels such as 17-4PH can be heatreated. 410 stainless steel plate can also be heatreated.
