DLC coating, full name Diamond-Like Carbon coating, is a special surface coating with diamond-like properties, such as high hardness, smoothness and chemical inertness. This coating is mainly composed of carbon and hydrogen and is applied to the surface of various materials through physical evaporation deposition or chemical vapor deposition.
DLC coatings are widely used in many fields due to their excellent properties, including industry, medical devices, automobiles, and electronic equipment.
The development of DLC coating has gone through the stages from the first generation of TiN to the second generation of TiCN, TiC, the third generation of DLC, and finally the fourth generation of cubic boron nitride. In the 1970s, German scientists used ion beam deposition to deposit single-valent carbon ions onto a substrate at room temperature to produce DLC thin films.

Our DLC coating technology can significantly increase the surface hardness of the tool, with a hardness close to 2200-4000HV. This high hardness helps to improve the wear resistance and durability of the tool.
