Pile Hammer: How It Works
The vibrating pile hammer uses its high-frequency vibrations to induce high acceleration in the pile body, transmitting vertical vibrations that alter the soil structure around the pile, reducing its strength. The soil around the pile becomes liquefied, decreasing frictional resistance between the pile sides and the soil. Utilizing the excavator's downward force, combined with the vibrating pile hammer and the pile's own weight, the pile is driven into the soil. For pile extraction, the vibration condition helps pull the pile out using the excavator's lifting force.
