1. Working principle
The plywood cold press provides steady pressure through a hydraulic system to press together multiple layers of glue-coated veneer. At room temperature, the glue forms a firm bond between the boards through a long curing process. The pressure of the cold press is usually lower, but the duration is longer to ensure that the glue is fully cured.
2. Main components
- Platen: usually made of high-strength steel, the surface is flat to ensure uniform pressure distribution.
- Hydraulic system: Provides stable pressure, usually including hydraulic cylinder, oil pump, control valve and other components.
- Frame: The frame structure that supports the pressure plate and hydraulic system, usually made of heavy steel, to ensure equipment stability and durability.
- Control system: Used to adjust and control pressure, pressure holding time and other parameters, usually using manual or automatic control.
